Located a little over an hour from London, lies one of England's prettiest villages and Estates: Great Tew. This quintessential English estate has a renowned game shoot that gives rise in the spring and summer months to a superb simulated shoot, offering a variety of drives like no other. From coveys of partridge, to high pheasants that even the West Country would be proud of. Then meet the whirly grouse on Raven Hill moor before finishing your day. No estate other than Great Tew can boast of eight stone grouse butts.

Land & Topography

The stunning landscape filled with moorland features, rolling pastures and oak woods with a carpet of bluebells and chocolate box thatched cottages has been the home of our Game Flyer simulated days now for over 25 years.

Typical Itinerary

9.00 am Meet at the Lodge for a Shoot Breakfast
9.30 am Guns draw pegs - Depart for the first drive
9.45 am Guns get ready!
11.30 am Refreshments in the field - refilling of cartridge bags before the third drive
1.00 pm The fourth & final Drive
2.30 pm A Two Course stunning lunch to be served in the Lodge

Hospitality

Hospitality to match the shooting... A traditional shooting breakfast (bacon rolls, teas and coffees) on arrival to get you going. Game and seasonal nibbles served in the field to refuel you and then to finish the day a stunning two course lunch served either in the Lodge or alfresco if the English weather allows.
