This quintessential English estate, in the heart of the North Cotswold’s

Located a little over an hour from London, the Great Tew Estate encapsulates much of what might be considered the archetypal English Country Estate. Rolling grassland, oak woods, with carpets of bluebells, and chocolate box thatch cottages. While the village is often described as one of the prettiest villages in England, Great Tew remains cloaked in its long history, from its Roman origins, through the Civil War to its ownership by one of the pre-eminent industrial revolution families. Today the estate presents a modern image of a diverse rural business with a contemporary approach.

This quintessential English estate, in the heart of the North Cotswold’s, offers an outstanding variety of drives. It has a renowned game shoot that lends itself naturally to offering the best simulated clay drives anywhere in the country. The estate is so passionate about the shooting legacy that several years ago, it built a line of eight stone grouse butts. No other shoot in the country provides these facilities.

The ultimate simulated day with five drives run exactly like a real shoot, all at a fraction of the price. Including breakfast, refreshments in the field, a two course lunch and afternoon tea. Designed for groups of 8 - 18 Guns.


At Great Tew Estate you will shoot challenging high pheasants on Cottenham Bank, our unique and exhilarating grouse drive on Raven Hill Moor, and feel the electricity as you wait in anticipation for the partridge drive on Gorse Bank.

Simulated Syndicate Days

Our days are held at both Cold Aston and Great Tew Estates. These days are ideal for individual guns and small groups to share their day with others. Perfect for a passionate shot, those wanting to practice, anyone wishing to repay a shooting invitation, or for groups
of clients or friends who just want to have fun.

  • 5 X Drives shoot over the day
  • All catering included (Bacon Roll, Tea and Coffee, Elevensess, Two-course lunch and Drinks)
  • 6000 X clays fired over the shoot line
  • Guests will shoot one and load one per drive (Shoot five drives total)
  • Cartridges are not included in the price and can be purchased on the day (£95.00 Inc VAT per Slab)
